Analyzing the patterns of Airbnb rentals in New York City from the perspectives of different neighborhoods, housing types, and long-term or short-term rentals.
Motivation
Provide a quick overview of the distribution of Airbnb rentals in New York City.
Offer the option to filter rooms based on different features.
Data

The dataset is from Airbnb’s official website Inside Airbnb. The data behind the Inside Airbnb site is sourced from publicly available information from the Airbnb site.
When and how it was originally collected
Collected by Airbnb as the platform itself gathers and stores users’ data and housing data.
Collected by Airbnb with a focus on New York City from 1st October 2022 to 1st October 2023.
Inference/modeling/other analysis
We made an interactive map to help users find the listings they need.
We created two interactive charts - Listing Number & Star - that allow users to explore the distribution of listings on their own.
We recommended the 20 most popular listings for users based on the number of reviews of listings in different areas.
