INFO 2950 Project: Cornell University

The Mexican government collected data on divorces cases from Xalapa, Mexico between the years 2000-2015. In this data set, the Mexican marriage bureau recorded characteristics of the divorce and the people involved. The divorced was characterized by its date, the reason, etc… Additionally, the ex-spouses were represented by their ages, ethnic backgrounds, income and education level, and other factors.

For our final report, we sought to determine any relationships between the characteristics of the ex-spouses and the frequency of divorce. We focused on the age gaps of the partners, and the differenecs in income and education level.
