It seeks the purity of the soul under the serene night sky and realizes the affinity with Buddha in the purity of the mind and body.

    Awakening of the Tang Figurine《唐印》

  • Choreographer: Siwei Ou 欧思维
  • Descriptions: Following the figurines of ladies through the millennium to witness the rise and fall of the Tang Dynasty. The work shows that the figurines of the ladies woke up quietly in the night and returned to the Chang'an City of the Tang Dynasty. As the momentum of the music gets stronger, we seem to witness the elegance of the Tang Dynasty in the past. Soon after, the prosperity is gone, replaced by a heavy crisis. The An-Shi Rebellion scattered the prosperity, and the figurines of ladies were dusted off along with the fall of the Tang Dynasty, returning to the museum's display, quietly telling the history of change to the audiences.

    《纸扇书生》Flowing Ink

  • Choreographer: Yan Hu 胡岩
  • Descriptions:Through different melodies, “Flowing Ink” shows the “liveliness”, “leisure”, and “adventurous” of a group of ambitious young scholars at that time. The light melody of the flute in the opening section creates the natural sound of flowers, birds, as well as laughter. In the middle part, the music slows down, the rhythm of the mountain and flowing water indicates joy and relaxation. The rhythm of the drums is magnificent and brings the whole work to a climax. The scholars have changed their leisurely attitude and showed youthful vigor and unrestrained liberality, behind this impetuousness is the determination of pursuing their ideal life.

  • Description: The Dai ethnic dance is mostly graceful and rhythmic, and is known for its unique stretching movements and the characteristic "three-bend" postures. The work "Dai Girls in the Rain" depicts a gentle and continuous rain falling over a Dai village, where several Dai girls hold silk umbrellas, sometimes strolling leisurely, sometimes playing happily, with bright eyes and graceful movements.
