If you're looking for a tasty hot meal or snack, more than 20 different food vendors will be on hand.

This year's Apple Harvest Festival schedule is packed with more than 100 local craft, food and beverage vendors, entertainment, games, music and affiliated events. The festival will take place on the Ithaca Commons, as well as Cayuga Street from Green Street to Buffalo Street, and on West State Street from the Commons to Geneva Street.

Ithaca’s farm-to-table butcher The Piggery will serve local beer-infused smoked sausages with homemade bacon apple topping as well as nitrate-free pork and turkey hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches, fresh kale salad with apples, apple bacon coleslaw, and maple bacon apple muffins. They’ll also sell their specialty local whiskey apple onion sausages in retail packs to take home.

Festival food staples such as fried dough, blooming onions, apple crisps and pumpkin funnel cake also will be available.

In addition to the farmers and foods, nearly 70 regional craft vendors will sell hundreds of handmade items including seasonal jewelry, paintings, personal care items, sculptures, clothing and pottery.

WHAT NOT TO MISS

Of course there’s the abundance of sweet treats for instant gratification - caramel apples, apple sundaes and cider donuts - but don’t overlook the homemade pies to take home and savor later. Needless to say, of course… stock up on the apples! The Apple Harvest Festival arrives at peak harvest season, and vendors can recommend the perfect varieties for your favorite cobbler recipe or a simple lunchtime snack.
