Our project seeks to examine the workforce in order to pinpoint potential instances of discrimination occurring in Los Angeles city departments throughout the year 2022. This analysis will span diverse ethnicities and genders, and it will particularly delve into various city departments. The investigative approach will be facilitated through a Shiny app, which will specifically concentrate on payroll information to uncover potential disparities or discriminatory patterns within the employment data across different demographic groups and departments.
