Hypothesis testing

Null hypothesis: There is no significant difference in mask-wearing willingness (indicated by election_data$Score) between counties in blue and red states.

Alternative hypothesis: There is a significant difference in mask-wearing willingness (indicated by election_data$Score) between counties in blue and red states.

Analysis #2

Regression Model

This model describes the relationship between a county’s political stance and their willingness to wear a mask (indicated by election_data$Score). A blue or red independent variable will be used to predict the dependent variable score. From this model, an avg_score for each political stance will be calculated by dividing the counties into their respective political groups and calculating the mean of the score.
