The first research question of our analysis is: How do the demographics age and gender play a role in the number of billionaires across the different regions in 2014?

Our first proposed hypothesis for research question 1 is that age and gender do play a role in the number of billionaires across the different regions in 2014. We hypothesize that there will be largest number of billions within the age group 35-44 and that identify with the male gender. At first glance of our exploratory data analysis, it is clear that across all regions, the male gender dominates the female gender in the percentage of of billionaires in a particular region.

The second research question of our analysis is: Do age and gender also play a role in the inheritance of wealth among billionaires based on the data from 2014?

Our proposed hypothesis for research question 2 is that age and gender do play a role in the inheritance of wealth among billionaires. We hypothesize that younger billionaires are more likely to have gained wealth by inheritance. More specifically, we hypothesize that the age group 18-24 will have a greater proportion of billionaires with wealth from inheritance than the others.

Our second proposed hypothesis for research question 2 is that more proportions of women tend to inherit their billions for all age groups than mean. At first glance of the data, we observe that in all age groups, more women inherits their billions compared to male. all age groups have more than 50% of female inheriting their billions. The age group: 18-14, 64-100, have the most percentage of female inheritors, both at about 100%. The age group 25-24 has the the least percentage of female inheritors, at about 50%-60%. In comparison, all age groups have less than 50% of male inheritors. The age group 18-24 has the highest percentage of male inheritors, about 30%-40%. The age group 25-34 has the lowest percentage of male inheritors, about 10%-20%.
