Chapter 20 Congregation Collection

The Congregation Collection allows agencies to pinpoint areas on the landscape where CWD-susceptible cervids tend to yard or ball up at various times in the Season-year. The Congregation Collection is particularly useful while running the Hazard Model 2.0.

20.1 Understanding the Congregation Collection

Map layers must be uploaded in GeoJSON format, a common open-source format which can be created using most geographic information system (GIS) software.

20.2 Multiple species can share a single migration path

One or more CWD-susceptible species may share an identical migratory path. If so, simply select all the relevant species when initializing the path.

20.3 Multiple migration paths are possible

Several CWD-susceptible cervid species may share select portions of the landscape, with different herds moving into and out of different areas. This Collection is able to capture as many polygons as necessary to accurately depict herds in each Administrative area.

In Visualizations, any feature attributes will be displayed in pop-ups.
